Portrait of Kim Vassallo, coach and counsellor

My name is Kim Vassallo (she/her) and I work as a Life Coach in Amsterdam and online.

I've always been incredibly drawn to people and I often find myself inspired and humbled by other’s stories. Through experiencing my own challenges in early adulthood and actively working on my own well-being and personal development, I became interested in psychology and passionate about helping others lead healthy, authentic and meaningful lives. Over the past decade, I completed extensive training and had the pleasure of working with a wide variety of people across different settings.

Now, as a coach, I enjoy seeing clients flourish and I am grateful to be a part of their journeys.

That’s a little about me and now I’d love to learn more about you.

Background

Photo of Kim, Coach and Counsellor, with her dog

I was born in Italy and grew up in a multicultural environment. In 2011, I moved to the UK where I completed studies in psychology and nutrition and subsequently worked in the mental health and social care sectors. Then in 2019, I relocated to Amsterdam where I did further training in coaching and counselling and then established Urban Conversations.

As an Expat and Adult Third Culture Kid (ATCK) myself, I understand the challenges that come with moving countries and adjusting to a new culture, including language barriers, cultural shock, loneliness and loss. I bring this additional layer of understanding and empathy when working with internationals and people living abroad, be they Expats, immigrants or students.

When I’m not working, you can find me walking my dog, Kaya, devouring podcasts, doing something creative, and spending time with friends and family around the world.
